3. How to write a Letter of Self-Introduction

used to recruit new-comers in recent days. The importance of the
self-introduction letter is greater. How you grew up, your individual
character, relationships, ability to adapt, your faithfulness, responsibility,
creativeness, and future possibilities are the main content and
should be written with sincerity and strategic consideration.
(2) How to write a letter of self-introduction in Korean
There are no formal forms for the self-introduction letter. How
you grew up, your characters, your motivation for applying, and
your future ambition are required elements of the letter of self-introduction.
1) How you grew up
How you grew up should show special experiences and episodes during
elementary, junior-senior high schools, and university in a creative
and fresh manner to induce the interest from the personnel manager
of the company. Special merits should stand out in bold. You should
focus on the explanation of why you studied your major, and should
connect that desire with your application in detail.
2) Merits and demerits of your character
When you introduce your character, you should explain experiences
which are closely related to your character. You should also show
your efforts to improve any character flaws and how you have overcome
your weaknesses. You should say your flaws frankly. However, the

It is desirable for you to show how your major or fields of interest

You should explain your plans and goals for entering the company.
Your goals and plans for developing yourself should be specific.

(3) How to write a self-introduction in English
A cover letter or letter of self-introduction should be attached
to your personal history.
The cover letter should mention the applicant's abilities, qualities,
application motivation and include your character, values, how you
grew up, and any specialties.
Applicants should explain the qualities that make them a good choice
for the position by specifying any further information in their
personal history.
The cover letter should mention everything simply, clearly and specifically
in the same manner and way as the Korean self-introduction. The
self-introduction should take about one minute to read and be one
sheet of typed A4 sized paper. If any mistakes are found a new sheet
should be printed rather than just correcting the error. The letter
should be an original and not a copy.
